Maldives have participated in the
international tourism exchange fair 2013 held in Milan, Italy. Maldivian tourism minister have also participated in the fair held from 14th February to
17th of February. As tourism ministry states, Italy market is a very important
market for Maldivian tourism hence taking part in the BIT fair is a
very essential step its marketing.
More than 5000
participants from 100 different countries have taken part in the fair, where a
mass of different varieties of products were being marketed. And therefore
Maldives have put on how the Maldivian tourism has evolved from its first day
to the present day as a success, on sale in the fair.
Tourism ministry
states that, even though guests to Maldives from Italy market has
decreased in number last year, this year more marketing and promotions for Italy markets
will be done and introduced. Italy tourism market is also marked as one of the
best markets for Maldives among European markets.
